Now eligible for export to the USA is the BE / BH series Subaru Legacy Sedan and Station Wagons, which comes equipped 2L / 2.5L boxer 4 or 3L boxer 6 engines. Popular in the Japan market was the 2L twin turbo charged boxer 4 featured in this blog due to the engine capacity having tax advantages for ownership. However this variant was Subaru’s most powerful powertrain option. These are a fantastic platform and for a 25 year old vehicle certainly don’t feel it. They handle great, are comfortable to drive and a practical for classic car fanatics with family duties to keep in mind.

This example was actually sent to New Zealand for an American client who will use the vehicle while on a work contract and then upon returning to America in 2026 will be shipped by our team and prepared for road use in the States. This example is a GT-B E-Tune, 5 speed manual in Cherry Black. Features Aero body kit and E-Tune refinements.

The Subaru Legacy GT-B offered all-wheel drive as a standard feature, enhancing traction and stability in various driving conditions. Sunroof options, Tuner versions or variants like the Blitzen exist, although they are rare... We do find them from time to time but we typically focus on condition as rust is an issue due to the use these Legacy’s tended to see so we buy based on the body and mechanical condition as a priority.

This particular vehicle was expertly secured and supplied to an eager customer by our dedicated J-Cars team. We organized the entire process door to door from Japan including NZ compliance inspection, W.O.F, Registration, Preparation, Servicing and Maintenance. All the customer had to do was to place their order and organize payment for a turn key drive away package on a hand picked vehicle direct from Japan. No knowledge or experience is required to work with us. When they relocate to America we will organize the transfer and title for its next journey.
